A Colonial-era brandy-and-rum punch from a Philadelphia fishing club, said to have loosened the delegates who drafted the Constitution in 1787. Peach brandy is the secret.

- 4 ozAged Jamaican rum
- 2 ozPeach brandy
- 4 ozLemon juice
- 3 ozSimple syrup
Over a big rock
Combine over a block of ice in a punch bowl and dilute to taste with cold water or weak black tea. Serves 8. Garnish: Lemon wheels and nutmeg.
